  Perlane® is used to smooth out moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds). Perlane generally lasts for about 6 months. It has been found to be a safe dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin.
 How it worksThe hyaluronic acid in Perlane augments the body's natural supply, which has become depleted with age. The injected Perlane fills up scars, lines and wrinkles on the face. Perlane is not a permanent product and is broken down in the body. At most, the wrinkle free face remains for about 6-8 months after injection of Perlane. This is a much longer period than any of the currently available temporary dermal fillers.
After your treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, and bruising. This will normally last less than seven days. Although rare, red or swollen small bumps may occur. To avoid bruising and bleeding, you should not use Perlane if you have recently used drugs that thin your blood or prevent clotting. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18, you shouldn't use Perlane.
